Independant production companies
- Channel 4 collabs with INDIES providing them with opportunities to pitch innovative ideas for TV programmes, documentaries etc.
- Operates on a commission system where independent producers submit proposals for shows.
- They seek pitches from a wide range of production companies encouraging creativity and fresh perspective.
- They provide funding and support for these products
- The collaborative approach benefit both parties
From idea to broadcast:
Careers in creative:
- TV development is a collabarative process where a diverse team of skilled professionals, transform unique concepts into captivating visual stories, ensuring that each show has the potential to be a big hit!
- Advertising - they make sure everyone knows when its going to be on and what it is all about, to make it sound interesting. Marketings - create a campaigns around the new show - e.g interviews, competitions, behind the scenes etc.
- They help people make data driven decisions about what to put on social media e.g what gets the most views/interactions. Use data to help people make decisions e.g looking at the shares, likes comments, viewer time etc. They write codes to get data from their databases that is related to a persons query and translate into graphs etc. this helps them with their decision.
- Come up with fun, innovative ideas that can be turnt into programming. They also draft ideas that get posted on social media. Spent writing content, research. Advice: make content e.g vlogs, podcast - helps create ideas.

Exploring creative personas :
- Explorer - someone who likes to go where no one has gone before discover new things, try something new and bring an unheard idea to the world.
Connecting roles may be; comissioner, casting researcher, location manager and script writer.
Connecting skills may be; enabler, maverick, driven.
- Chameleon - you can adapt to any situation you find yourself in, chaning your colour to suit your needs and becoming the most effective version of yourself.
Connecting roles may be; runner, director, production manager, prop master.
Connecting skills may be; flex, social adaptability, pride.
- Diamond - you show your best self when underpressurem thats when you're able to shine. you're tough to crack and can handle the toughest of situations
Connecting roles may be; lawyer, director, live events and broadcast.

- Your personal brand is how people percieve you, much like a reputation.
Ways to figure out your personal brand:
- Figure out your goal - make it specific so you're working towards a clear goal
- Get clear on what you want to be known for - dig deeper into the what, how and why of your work, and don't cause confusion!. Think about what makes you unique and different, what do you know more about then most people, etc.
- Know your audience - the people that benefit from your unique talents and skills
- Create a mission statement - it has to include; who you are, what you do, who you do it for, the transformation you create.
- Build your personal brand online - Personal website + social media.

- The American Marketing Association defines marketing as : the 'activity, set of insitutions and processess for creating, communicating, delivering and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners and society at large'.
- This can include traditional marketing activities such as : Newspaper adverts, TV adverts and Radio adverts.
Digital marketing is the use of digital communication channels and includes activites such as;
- Content marketing
- Email marketing
- Social media marketing.
A digital marketer is concerned with all things promotion on digital channels.
- a typical starting salary of a graduate level marketing assistant can range between £18,000 and £22,000 - a more experienced worker, one can expect the pay to rise to at leat £40,000.
Marketing Executive;
- As a marketing executive, I would contribute to marketing campaigns that promote a product. It is a varied role and can be involved in PR, event organisation, sponsorship and advertising.
The Key responsibilities of a marketing executive include;
- Communicate with target audiences
- Help with marketing plans and strategies
- Run social channels
- Organise and attend events like conferences and seminars

mise-en-scene is the arrangement iof the scenery, props, etc.
Where does M-E-S come from?
- The Character - hair, makeup, clothing, build, body language etc. - can also see juxtaposition with characters as it could represent a meaning. E.g binary opposition
- The Props - accessories, weapons, gadgets, items etc. - it makes the world seem real and believable
- The Set - location, dresing, space, time of day etc.
- The Lighting - natrual, warm, cold etc.
These all make up the media text aesthetic and create a visual and believable feel.
